Can't register any Cakewalk soft synths

As I posted earlier re: Dimension Pro, I am having to rebuild my system from scratch due to major system failure.  I've re-loded everything, but when I attempt to enter registration codes for any Cakewalks soft synths (Dimension Pro, Z3ta+ 2, ertc.), the screen completely freezes (cannot even navigate to other running programs), and I have to terminate Sonar.

For z3ta+2 I was asked for and able to enter the code in the standalone version.  However, the standalone version of Dimension Pro is not asking for the code and acts likes it's fully activated.  But when I attempt to run in Sonar, I am asked for the code, the Win 7 circle spins, I lose access to everything else running,  and must temrinate Sonar as described above.

Help!

I solved my problem, thought it still seems something is a bit strange.  I have always brought up my synth windows by double-clicking the "Input" on the synth's track rather than via synth rack.  I am able to enter the code when I access the synth GUI from the synth rack.

Also, now when I double click on the "Input" (or the "Output" in the MIDI track"), not only do I get the synth GUI, I also get the list of all available inputs (or outputs), as if I had just single-clicked.  In fact, should't I really only get that drop-down if I click the down-arrow to the right of the Input name?  I'm getting it if I clcik on the input name itself, not jsut the down arrow.
