Help!!

I'm new to Cakewalk, I just got it today and am still learning the basics but I am having trouble and cant find help anywhere else online. I have SONAR LE and was wondering how I can use like a drum pack or something. So far all I can do is add pre-existing songs and choose from the built in Synth Rack.

Thanks,
WASTECH

    Welcome to the forum.
Which version of SONAR LE do you have? 6, 7, 8, or the new X1?
I'm not sure what a 'drum pack' is, but I'm guessing you want drums? There are expansion packs for various soft synths, including drum synths, but you probably don't have any of those synths with LE.
What software synthesizers are available in your synth rack? Anything with the word drum or drummer in it's name?
Do you have a MIDI keyboard to record MIDI data (notes) into the program? (You don't have to have one, but it's easier. You can also enter notes with the mouse.)

I have X1, and I do have a midi device, it's a LPD8 by Akai. And I only have 1 drum option and nothing in the midi track works. I can press the pads but there I no output sound. It shows that I'm pressing stuff but it doesnt go thought the master. And a little off topic but, how can I make dubstep with the X1 LE?

MIDI is data, not sound, so you need a synthesizer to make the sound. The synthesizer could be hardware, like a MIDI keyboard or sound module, or software, as in one of the synths in your synth rack.
The Akai is a controller and doesn't make sound; it only sends note data to the sequencer (X1 LE).
Insert a soft synth. Set up a MIDI track to record from the LPD. Set the MIDI track's output to the soft synth. Click the Input Echo button in the MIDI track so you can hear what's played. Play the LPD 8. You should hear the soft synth as you play the keyboard.
Click Arm for recording in the MIDI track then the Record button at the top. That will start the recording and the MIDI track should record what you play on the keyboard and the soft synth should play the sound.
This is some of the most basic information in the Help files and tutorials. I recommend that you read the Getting Started section of the Help files (at least) and do the tutorials.
