Problems with Sonar X1 Expanded and Ozone 5

Hey!

Am I the only one having problems with the combo Sonar X1 Expanded and Ozone 5? Things are VERY shakey when using Ozone. All I have to do is change presets and it makes Sonar crash. Not dropouts. It makes SONARPDR.exe to crash.

Anyone having the same problem? Is there a fix?
Im running the latest versions of Ozone, Sonar and Roland Quad-capture driver.

PS
I'm running 64 bit versions on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

If your talking about "changing" presets while project is running-I get a slight hiccup-that's all. No crashes.

There is a lot going on in Ozone 5 -

It's a resource hog, no less. I don't recommend using it on a project unless you're in "mastering mode". Even better still, I do my mastering in SF 10 and this is where I fire up Ozone.

    @ OP
You may not have that flexibility, but it may be worth your while to look into it. Just a suggestion.

Ok, I'll do it in SF instead. Haven't tried that actually.

But I don't think this is a performance issue actually. I'm running a hexacore computer with 24Gb of RAM. And it's the actual Sonarpdr.exe that crashes. It exits the application. It's not the usual dropouts.

metz . . . I have Ozone 5 plugged into Sonar X1 Exp (running on XP, with an older soundcard) and it has never caused a crash . . . but like Alegria says, using it at the mastering stage, with only a stereo wave file, inserted into Sonar.

Some of the Ozone 5 presets do employ very high CPU usage, and high latency settings,
so I've never tried to use it as a Sonar full project plugin.

What samples have you got in your ASIO driver?  I switch my RME AIO to 1024 when I'm using Ozone5 for mastering.
