"Discovering" Joe Bonamassa...  Some very tasty playing!  Have heard of him, but hadn't heard his music until recently.  Noice!

I saw him live last week in Syracuse NY. I've mentioned here before that I've known him since he was 14 and blew a room away while sitting in with his dads band at a show my band did with them. Immense talent and only getting better.

Ol Joe was a child phenom.  I quite like him too...although he never strays far from the ol pentatonic bedrock.  I much prefer ol Robben Ford.

Craig, my old pal WayneTicklerUK is a big fan of Joe Bonamassa. He lent me a few of his albums to listen to and I had to agree that the guy is an awesome player. And not just talented technically, he really does make the guitar talk. Very soulful.

I forgot to mention, you might also want to check out Black Country Communion (as I did after James G mentioned them to me!) - Joe B on guitar, Jason Bonham on drums, Glenn Hughes on bass and Dream Theater's Derek Sherinian on keys.

I've got their eponymous debut album and as you might expect, the quality of the playing is amazing (check it out on Grooveshark HERE).
