Convert project to use 64b VST plugins?

I'd like to delete the 32b installation of Sonar,  because it's huge and redundant now that I'm using 64b Sonar.

But my projects still point to the 32b VST plugins, and they point to the 32b tree of media.

Is there a way to edit the .cwp file to change all the pathnames?

no, you have to change the VSTs in the 64bit version of sonar to the 64bit version of the VST instead of the 32bit version.  they're separate dlls in separate places - think of it as if it were a different VST (because it is).

That would be a very handy utility, if it existed. Sadly, it does not. This is why most people finish up their existing 32-bit projects in the 32-bit version and retain the 32-bit version for working on older projects. Fortunately it's really not "huge", nor is it redundant if you have a lot of 32-bit projects.

If you're in the middle of a big project and must move it to 64 bits, you'll have to save presets for all your plugins in order to restore them in the new project.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

right - that's what I did when I converted over to 64bit.  I finished my 32bit projects in 32bit and started new projects in 64.

and I still keep both versions on my machine - it really doesn't take up that much space and I never know if I'll need to open one of those 32bit projects again or not.
