1st Real Use of Neyrinck with Sonar for a session

Wow! That was so much fun... too bad I'm so stressed or I really would have enjoyed it! ;-) I used V-Control to display Sonar's screen (realtime) and my old Studiomix to do transport control (making up for the lack of record/return2zero and the likes) For the last many years I've used a very caveman approach with a wireless camera aimed at my monitor and a tv to receive/display it (quietly) in the room.... Well... Mostly quiet... The RF is really way up there... ;-) This was a very awkward procedure, but it worked.... Now the V-Control display is like having Sonar in front of me.... I hope I can buy the paid version soon as it would be even easier with the many extra functions and abilities... Good show! Keni

Yes, I've been using Neyrinck's V-Control successfully for over a month. You can remotely start SONAR then control it. Jerry, I remember from another thread that you now have the support link for Neyrinck. Are you saying you tried that with no result?

Yep, done that. The problem for me is that Ney-Fi doesn't "shake" hands with the router. rtpmidi (for AC7) works seamlessly, it sees the iPad no problem, and did so out of the box so to speak.

My Firewall is that of W7, and Ney-Fi is one of the exceptions. (I've even turned it off just to check, same result).

I've manually opened up the correct ports on my router as per the Neyrinck websites suggestions, I'm now wondering if there is another port they didn't mention that also needs opening up.

I tried their help page, got one reply telling me to download the latest Ney-Fi and since then nothing.

One of these days it WILL work !
