melodyne out of sync?

First time I use melodyne singletrack 2 today. (used to work with 1.3 was fine)

The issue I had is that after transfering the audio into the plugin, it became out of sync.  the vocals were not following the music anymore.

Is it a known bug?

    did you jump the audio?

In sonar, during playback, it is possible to click somewhere else on the time line... to skip over a short guitar solo for example....and sonar will do that just fine and keep everything in synch......

But Melodyne doesn't play that game at all. When you load audio into melodyne, it is following the clock in sonar to keep it synced to the music BUT.... if you jump in sonar, melodyne does NOT get that jump command so it keeps playing to the clock..... you now hear stuff totally out of sync.

The only fix I know of is to always get into the habit of stopping the playback..... move the time line start point and resume playback.

If this is not the case and it is drifting after a start/playback, it could very well be a sample rate mismatch if the melodyne sample rate track is not the same as the project... that may be causing it.

I did not jump audio.  I did it twice, second time, making sure I started from the top.

I'll check the sample rate, thanks.

The jumping audio issue is not limited to Melodyne.  VIs like RealGuitar or some Vir2 products may start playing strange pitches or time when you move around.
