Bring on the weekend!!!!

I have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND coming up!!!!

I might voluntarily work 1/2 day Friday, but it is my normal day off and we get Monday off for Memorial Day (God bless the troops and veterans!).

Sunday I'll be having a few friends and family over for some smoked brisket and chicken.

Chikin?     Chikin?    Did some one say Chikin?

Reece, a little tid bit of advice .....If I may....

    DO NOT Grill barefoot.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    why you may ask?

Well last fall I did exactly that and I stepped on a few small hot briquets......Realized something was wrong cause the foot felt funny......took one look down.......realized what was going on.......one leap later I was in an ice cold Pool!  cold as all get out.....but my foot felt better.....

Hobbled away with 2nd degree burns on the bottom of my Right foot!

So the golden rule now is to Grill only with shoes On!

OK you can continue your laughing! Funny as hell now but not so much back then!  :-)

    Clifford

PS.....I use my table top Gas Grill a lot more now a days!

    LSHCCOMN!!!

    that's funny!

My large grill broke a few years ago and I've never replaced it because I want a really nice one and just don't have the funds for it (I keep buying recording stuff!).  I have a table top grill I use for me and Mrs. Beagle.

but table top grill won't work for brisket and chicken!  I'll be SMOKIN' them!  I have a gas smoker I use for large items.  takes longer than grilling, but OH so tastey!

I'm sure Beagle has tried them fried before.  Bare paws on a sidewalk in a Dallas summer...

    Yep, they fry pretty quickly.

Well down here in Tampa we have the same issue.

So No concrete here. My back porch is covered by a screened porch (like a lot of proches are here). Then on the side I have a door leading to the grass area of the back yard. And no....I have a very small yard.

I had the grill in the grass area right next to the porch door and so once you open the door it's just one step into the pool! Thank God for that one!

I Am going to The Swamp Pop Music Festival this Saturday with the drummer from the first USAF "Rock" band I was in back in the late 70's. Mod Bod was the leader of that band. What memories! All the tours and gigs we did. wow. Anyway, he's coming over Sat. with an ice chest and I'm going to the bank for cash so we can partake in all the food that will be there!. Music from 11am till midnite! We plan on standing around and watchin babes go by like Tom Hanks and Jon Lovitz.

P.S. there will be pictures ( if I can remember to take my camera)

Bill, when you go the bank for cash, don't wear the same mask you wore last time. It's a dead give away.
