FreddieH did not point to products by the same company that were better at all. He pointed to another product that was different rather than better. He pointed to their limiter and level amplifier probably in response to me mentioning that I have the PSP Xenon limiter. He was suggesting I look at the Nomad limiter. But I probably won't be doing that. I am sure the Nomad limter is good but it is not on special and is at it's full price right now. I don't know if it would be even better than the PSP limiter either. I am very happy with that believe me. The PSP limiter is very transparent and that is what you need from a limiter IMO. The Nomad limiter may be good but it might have too much colour for it's own good as well. You can have too much of a good thing you know. I have just got the Nomad compressor and I will test it out soon and give some feedback. I suspect it will be very good. It has had some good reviews apparently.

bitflipper I was a bit surprised at the rather unimpressive presentation, as compared to watching a fabfilter compressor demo in which it was undeniable that things were being changed audibly, and it was clearly apparent how they were being altered in real time, with both explanation and evidence. You could sell an Analogue Silence plugin if you hired Dan Worrall to demo it for you. That was funny! You're becoming the official forum stand-up comic.

I think that the British Bundle works and sounds great.... We are so spoilt for choices these days - it's ridiculous... I use a few compressors and EQs and this bundle is a good sounding set to have in the toolbox... And for $20 it really is a no brainer
Sorry - I don't use Autotune :)

chuckebaby carl I agree the Pultec is nice, this is not. you mean vs-the british bundle? the british bundle is auesome, great sound. though out of the nomad plug ins "magnetic"remians my fav. the blue tubes are nice too. You're right, I meant to say 'as nice compared to'. I tried the demo when I bought the Pultec & it seem to work & sound fine. I'm cleaning out my vst drawer to go-tos & I already have similar so I doubt I'll get it. I didn't really care for magnetic, some say the first version was better? I never tried the blue tubes though.

It's length of piece of string, mod. They have no structured order on who gets what and when, so it could be quick or a day or even longer. Someone who ordered after you could easily be sorted before you. I'd send a reminder after a day just to make sure you haven't slipped through the net. It gets a rapid response then.

I wasn't going to buy it but did anyway. $20 bucks? why not. I have to say I really like the EQ. I only glanced at the compressor for a bit so it's hard to say now. The EQ is definintly worth the $20.

I think I'm going to put my 20 pesos towards a Fabfilter EQ and compressor. Then I'll have the best and can forget about the rest.

I have heard you and Bitflipper give it high praise, and they're video demos clearly show that this is something that will make a difference. I know its nice to have a lot of tools, but if I could only have a few, that can do a lot, I'll have what I need. Fabfilter EQ and compressor may be what will get me where [I think] I'm going. (Cuz I kind of just find my way around sometimes by intuition and some careful planning)

I also really really really like the EQ. I did a cover of Josie and plopped the EQ on the master buss just to shine it up a bit and do a little HP work. The compressor is a character compressor for sure, I don't push it very hard at all and it's sounds great. I bought these in the 2010 No Brainer deal and used them on 3 or 4 projects and they do sound very good. $ 20.00 and you'll feel just a little guilty for it.

I bought the Nomad Mastering Tools that were $20 a few months ago. Has anyone compared the two? From a distance, there are some definite similarities in the gui's... V

Hi Vince. Not a hell of a long time usually so often you have to be quick. The British Bundle no brainer at AudioMidi I think runs until the end of May which is not far away now. It is usually in fine print somewhere on their website etc.. Couple of weeks or a month even a week in some cases.

Well, it turns out that my comment on youtube was accurate about the plugin not making any difference on the audio, and Nomad has responded: "Well spotted. I had applied the unproccessed audio during mixdown and hadn't noticed before I uploaded the video. I have made a new demo video of this plug-in that you can view by clicking on my channel. It will be at the top of my posted video feed."
