Wierd Quirks after reinstall, clips can't be moved or dragged and dropped from browser

Not sure what went wrong, but I can't move clips. If I want a clip from my audio banks in the browser, the icons for it look different than before and the only way to move them is to click on them and then let them load in a track, but then I can't move them. I can only use the trim tool to expand to another groove clip or erase them. Anybody? How do I fix this? It was much more convenient to grab them from the browser and put them where I wanted. I uninstalled Sonar. Reinstalled from the Disc, X1C then expanded and then X1D. I've got total hickups with my soft synths. Some aren't even 64 bit anymore. I've got the initial start up scan looking in all the correct file folders. I'm pretty near the end of my tether here. And sometimes the program fails to boot at all, still.

    but I can't move clips

Have you made sure that you selected the 'Smart Tool" before trying to drag a clip?  The cursor should change when you have a tool selected that will allow you to drag a clip with the mouse.  This happens for me only if I select the 'Smart Tool.'

I know this is irrelevant (maybe) but why did you uninstall it in the first place?  Your issues could come from a poor and incomplete uninstall as well as a poor reinstall.
Since you are not too far from doing it, perhaps trying another uninstall complete with checking registry keys are gone may clean it up.
If it was working before, it should be working now.
