Dead simple...under Preferences\Project select Metronome.  Under the radio button that says "Use Audio Metronome", notice that the "First Beat" and "Other Beats" things are drop downs.  At the bottom of the drop down lists are "Woodblock Hi" and "Woodblock Low".

I guess the fact that this, easy, question went for 2 hours without getting a response, is indicative of the declining amount of traffic on this sub-forum.  I would suggest that, unless you're sure that your question is specific to non-X1 SONAR versions, that you might start on the X1 forum.  Of course, others may complain that you're cross posting to the wrong forum.  I, on the other hand, am all for expediency.

Good point Dan, and I agree that a lot of the questions here would be answered quickly in the x1 forum as it was only yesterday 90% of the folks there were masters of 8.5. ---It's a bit of a shame as those are the most qualified members but only a few kind souls check in here from time to time. The other side of the coin is- Half the new posting here are questions about x1 and even though most of us don't use that version we can usually solve common issues. I would have no problem if they combined the two. But Cakewalk wants us to upgrade so it will never happen.

Also, if the output of the Metronome isn't already being sent to a bus, then a bus should be created for it. That way the volume of the metronome can be controlled.

On the other hand it could be counter-productive.  The X1 forum is already so busy that any new thread gets rapidly overtaken and quickly drops to Page 2 if it receives no new posts within a 24-hour (or less) period.  Threads in that forum are short-lived.
