pentagon

Hi Guys... I've been playing around with some free VST vocoder software with not a luck in the resulting quality. I've just found a demo of Cakewalk's Pentagon which has suddenly become available at a "knock-down" price, and says normally it's shipped with Sonar. Before I buy it , can anyone tell me if it will insert as a VST effect in HS6?? Thanks

It reads "VST and DX Compatible" on their product page, so I'm going with 'yes'.
    Have fun!

    Yes, it works in SHS6.
    According to the blurb:

A Voice Modulator allows you to control Pentagon I sound with your voice or any external audio source. Just turn it on, use Pentagon I as an effect and send MIDI to it (don't worry, you don't need to sing in tune).

However, the documentation doesn't tell you how to turn the modulator on.  It took me a while to find it.
Left click on the Pentagon I label in the GUI, and turn it on from the drop down menu.
Insert pentagon in the FX bin of your audio track, and of course, you will also need a separate MIDI track with the output set to Pentagon.
Prompted by your question, I've been having some fun with it this afternoon.
I have always used it as a straight up synth, and never tried this before. It's a decent synth in its own right, and is a steal at that price.
One caution: Pentagon is capable of extremely loud output, so watch your meters, and be careful if you are using headphones.

Quick update - OK I got it, and played with the synths and I have say, Robert B, I wouldn't have been able to turn on the modulator either without your invaluable instructions!!
