Not able to slide envelopes along with selected clips
When I slide clips over by a measure, the envelopes don't go with the clips. I've made sure that I specified to copy envelopes along with the clips. This is a huge time waster for me. It takes about five minutes for the slide to complete, after which I have to do an undo because my envelopes are all screwed up. The undo takes another five minutes to complete.

Have you checked "Select envelopes with clips" from the TV Menu-->Options? They won't move unless that is checked.

Hmm.. not sure what's happening there then, it definitely works here. Are you using "Instrument" tracks? I know there are several strange bugs with those but they're not something I ever use so they pass me by.

Also, for this to work, I need to use nudge from the menu (I forgot whether that's under Process or Edit). If I try nudging with the number key, some of the selected clips disappear. I don't have these problems in projects with fewer instrument tracks. I'm not sure what the threshold is, but the project I was working with has over 50 instrument tracks.

I find simple instruments to be too buggy to rely on. Please, use split audio/midi without exception

There are issues with regular midi/instrument pairs as well... An example: I have a Session Drummer 3 instance with midi on one track and 7 active output tracks (stereo). One of the output tracks has an envelope on it. With select envelopes with clips checked, the envelope does not move with the clips... Keni

What happens if you freeze the drum synth and then slide the resulting audio track/envelope?

I haven't tried that as it wasn't what I was looking to do (How did you know the tracks were frozen prior to this action? ;-)) I'll see what happens when I have a moment... I'm swamped right now... I unforze the drum tracks (and other frozen tracks) so that I could extend the song with some drum editing for the new section as well... Good thought... thanks... Keni

I didn’t know your tracks were frozen, I was assuming you were still working in Midi seeing as you referred to Simple Instrument Tracks which would be irrelevant if you were working in audio. BUT, I was talking about freezing the synth, not the track. These are 2 different actions with 2 completely different results.
