Happy Memorial Day

I hope everyone has a happy and healthy Memorial Day.  

Thanks to all who have served.  

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

    Those are the ones who should be thankful.  


    Let us not forget those who are serving now and their families who give up so much.

    I second that Old55! The most honorable people I have met in my life were military personnel unselfishly serving their country because of the heartfelt belief it was a duty. I salute them all!!

    I'll chime in.... Always a pensive day for me. In memory of those who gave all and my best friends: Thomas Frank Presby - USMC KIA 7/24/66 - Op Hastings ambush at Hill 362 (RIP) Floyd Wayne Hamilton - USMC KIA 5/23/66 during firefight at Hill 35 (RIP) Pat Calavan - WIA 1/13/67 lost a leg during firefight at Hill 35. My respect to all that have served honorably. A safe and enjoyable day with friends and family to all. That's all I've got....carry on....

    HULUS EDGAR  Key Jr. 11/02/1969: Guitar player.
    His parents opened two youth clubs to honor him. One in Tifton, GA and one in Moultrie, GA. The one in Moultrie was called the BOWL because it was an closed bowling alley and still had a big sign that said "BOWL". They opened it while he was serving, I remember when he died, they still kept it open for a while. They were great people.

    Gene Allegood and Sammy Boaz. Both made it back physically but not emotionally, both are now RIP.

    To the fallen... honor.

    I do not know anyone who served in the military that saw combat in any way but I still respect all those that have, are now or will be serving in the future.
