Hey Craig, the grain of the "guitar" in your signature looks like becan. You gonna play it or eat it?

I could only think of calling it a Becancaster even though it looks like it's shaped more like a Gibson than a Fender. Les Pork just doesn't sound right.

Wow, totally forgot that I still had this directory up on the internet. This was when I was testing stain color ideas for the guitar that Space Cowboy now has (*Sniff!*). The first is unstained, the rest are PhotoShop enhanced! The actual stain for the new guitar may be a brighter red, but I didn't make any tests like that (in fact, I removed tests 2 thru 22 because they were way too dark). I'll have to see if I can make some a bit brighter... Just looking at these makes me want to get a few more guitars though! I still need a baritone, a bass, a 12-string and an acoustic... Yeah...

Wow! With that grain, they all look good. There are just a few--like the purple one--that look good now, but might get old after a while. I sense a bad case of guitar G.A.S. coming on.

I think there's only about four from that list that I'd actually go for, but it's fun to check out the others. To be honest, just using a normal wood stain (i.e., uncolored) would be killer, but I just don't think I can leave well enough alone! LOL.

Hehe... Well, the "winner" for that guitar was one of the nice blues and Space Cowboy is now in charge of care and feeding of her. The new one (the one in my signature) will be red, but whether it will be a darker or lighter red is still to be decided.
The other colors just make me day-dream of some future date when I can start restoring the herd.
