Heads up - From June 1st to June 30th

From June 1st to June 30th, when you buy or upgrade to SONAR X1 Producer, Cakewalk will automatically bump you up to the flagship version, SONAR X1 Production Suite. Just purchase SONAR X1 Producer from any retailer or upgrade at the Cakewalk Store, and Cakewalk will take care of the rest.

Yup, sure does ! Was just looking upstairs to see if there was any X2 freds. This offer is pretty tempting, but for the horrible console view - I hate the way that looks and has been  the sole reason for me sticking with 8.5PE now that it at least seems to work properly.

I've been upgrading continuously since 2010! How about you send me a link to a FREE version of studio or LE for my laptop. Plenty of deals for those coming in off the street, but not much for me. This merely confirms my idea of not buying X2 until X3 is ready to launch. No more early adopter for me, it's too expensive.

I wonder if retailers mind the parent company gutting the price this way. Must make it hard to move boxes off the shelf.

    Snarky interlude concluded.

    Regards, John

I wonder if I contacted Cakewalk if they would give me a voucher for a free copy of the Production Suite since I already paid for the Producer upgrade.

@ ampfixer: Unless the policy has changed since 8.5, Cakewalk allows you to install your copy of Sonar on 2 different machines.

8.53 is kinda retro. And you'll never get a patch ever again. What fun is that?

Yep.  You'll know for sure when the buy X1 now and get the new version for free offer starts in July.  Then all of the people who jumped on the June special will start with the kvetching.
