Registration number in Cake Account called "invalid"???

Hey folks, I've been trying to help a friend get his recent update from X1Studio to X1 Producer up and running.  He had so much trouble downloading all the files he couldn't get X1 installed so he just ordered the full boxed set from Cake.  We installed it today and everything went totally smooth until we tried to open DimPro in X1.  It asked for the reg number and we plugged it in.  It said no go this number is invalid.  We hopped on Cake to see if he'd transposed some numbers or letters but no... the code we put in was exactly what his Cake account said was his DimPro reg code.  We tried several more times.  No love.  No biggie, I told him, as DimPro will run for 30 days anyway and in that time I'm sure Cake will sort it out.  But...how come this happened??  Anybody else seen this?

you have launch X1 as the "administrator" by right clicking and selecting
"run as administrator" from the menu...

Then put the serial number in and it should work

    Hope that helps!!!

Again...this was not a problem with X1...it works fine.  This was only for DimPro.  But I'll suggest that to him and see if it makes a difference.

Same thing happened to me. Run As Administrator fixed it.

And by "same thing" I mean X1 installed without using Run As Administrator but DimPro did not. I think Guitar Rig gave me the same problem.

To be clear - I had the same issue - run DimPro in standalone mode as admin, give it the code, and all will be well.

    yorolpal...

All are correct...if you launch X1 as ADMIN then insert DimPro on a track the
Serial Dialogue will pop up ...insert Serial Number....done...

OR the easier way, as EVZEVZ said...launch DimPro in "standalone" as ADMIN
    insert serial number and DONE....

After that you don't have run as ADMIN anymore....which is weird...but true...

Must be something in the DimPro code that needs ADMIN approval to authorize...

Definitely going to try this when I get the chance in the morning! I had this same issue. After prompting me that the product was not registered I was still able to use Dimension Pro to it's full ability no problem.
