I mostly use studio drummer running through kontakt 5. The best things I've done lately was to shut off all the effects in studio drummer and use the ProChannel presets in X1. I was amazed by how much better things sound. I run the drums to individual tracks in X1 and use the PC preset that sounds like it should work. Kick, snare, toms, overheads and such are all covered and the presets work great.

I also use the PX64 on drum tracks along with the PC presets, it's brilliant and free with X1 producer.

    Regards, John

Superior with SDX and EZX packs.
BFD2 is looking equally as good to me now.

Nomad Factory's Magnetic II on the drum bus.

If I'm working with live drums, drumagog enriches the snare & kick and sometimes the toms too (if on separate tracks). Not only does it come with some killer drum sounds, I happen to have got the Steven Slate gog files from back in the Kontakt days as well as some add on libraries (mostly "metal" drum kits, but there are many more to be had too).

Valhalla Room has some pretty good reverbs for drums.

What is the best way, processor or sound wise to shut off all "Drummer" effects? I love the concept but all the bull they think is needed at Native Instruments is overwhelming.
