Keyed Gate Freeze

I have a track with Sonitus Gate that is keyed from a drum sample from Session Drummer. Simple enough. I freeze the track as per usual. The Gate isn't keyed at all. The stuttering effect I am trying to get isn't happening when I freeze. I then try to bounce the track audibly as that is the workaround for Melodyne... no dice. What do I do to get this track frozen with the keyed gate?

    Hey Fooman -
I just had this scenerio and this is what worked for me.

Bounce both midi tracks to audio tracks (real time bounce)
Then set up gate/sidechain with your newly bounced audio tracks (and mute the old midi tracks)

    Hope this works

Thank you for the reply Mike! I'll give this a shot later on. I am a bit at a loss as to why it'd work with only audio tracks. The gated track was actually audio to start out with. Either way, thank you for your help :)
