A day without Am???!

On October 12th, 1582 the note we all know and love as Am was NOT played by anyone living in Spain that year.  This wasn't some wild first either, since it wasn't played on October 5th, 1582 either!

To take it even further, NO music of any kind was played on either of those two dates (including other countries outside of Spain)!

So, the big question is "Why?"

These days did not happen in that year cause someone changed the date.

Yep.  I ran into it while doing some date-related code yesterday and thought it was interesting.  They say Saint Teresa of Avila died on October 4th and was buried the next day on October October 15th.  That just sounds weird!

What I also took note of was just how many times they messed with the number of days in a year including the one during the transition of the Julian Reform (46 BC) which had 445(!) days in it and a total of three extra months (one between February and March plus two between November and December).

And "they" think they can predict the actual end of the world date???   Ha!
