OT: Akai Samples

Hello,

I still have loads of akai sample libraries that I would like to revisit. 
What is the best way to use them nowadays? Any soft sampler that loads them or any converter?

    Short Circuit has some support for Akai samples. worth a try since it's free

    What was the name of that old converter that was able to convert most file types into almost any file type?

    actually what I meant was CDXTRACT.

    You can also use vsampler to load Akai files (it was bundled with an old version of SONAR) - but if you have full Kontakt, just use that ;-)
