opinion on new desktop

I'm taking the plunge soon after 10 years with my HP Windows XP3 computer to run X1...gonna feel like I'm reborn with faster processor, etc. Anyway...I found this at Costco...it goes on sale by another $200 in a few weeks. They also offer 2 year warranty instead of just 1. I know everyone has their opinions on computers, but can any "techy" people take a quick look at this and see if they see any potential problems?     Just a quick glance, seems fine. I believe you are not thinking about overclocking this system, as the motherboard and memory spec is not published. I do not overclock my system too.

    Just concerned about the HDD, just make sure it's not green type (5400 rpm).. search the forum, there are some recommendation on HDD and you may want to get 2 drives instead of one.

    Your audio interface must be of USB type. No firewire port mentioned. Go with a good USB 2 audio interface, less trouble.

    The power supply while sufficient for it's stock unit, may need some upgrading if you install more drives (me thinks..) or you may want to connect your monitor power away from the back of the computer even if there is one.


    You may not want to load the Norton to you DAW.. unless you disable it during tracking. MS win 7 built in anti virus is more friendly to DAW.
