Anyone using Infiniteresponse VAX-77 KB with X1 ?

Hey folks,

is anyone using the Infiniteresponse VAX-77 keyboard with X1 ?.
http://www.infiniteresponse.com/

Wondering how easy to set up and how well it integrates with X1.

Also wondering about the pitch wheel/modulation slider layout - pitch wheel is on the left side, seems it could be a pain.

There's no agent for them here (New Zealand) so I'd have to get one sent direct from Texas.

I'd love to hear from anyone using one of these.

Cheers - Cliff

    Bumpity bump ... anyone ?.

I was really hoping someone would be using this keyboad with X1 and would chime in.
I guess at 3-grand there wouldn't be too many folks using it, and those that are probably don't pop in here too often if at all.

It really does seem like a cool keyboard, especially with the magnetic sensor type key triggering.

Oh well, let's see if anyone chimes in - wish me luck !

A bit expensive don't you think?  When a MIDI controller goes from around $79 to $200. A great one is around $1000 or so. But than those don't have the mod wheel on the side.

There is one fellow up here that has one of them. And it is a bear to use. Reason?

Because he is always forgetting that the modwheel is on the side...and it is pretty clumsy to operate...

A lot of money to spend just to be able to fold it in half. Get a Yamaha, Roland or Korg.

And then buy a hardcase for travel.

Buy like the guy said to Howard Hughes in the Aviator after Hughes had just shown him the "largest private air force in the entire world", "Hey, it's your money."

ah it only folds.. pity I wanted it to split into 2 bits.. so I could share / do a duet with someone on the same plane.. not for me then...

joking aside, keyboards have gone up in price.. but thats silly money.. sure if your VIP / featured artist, your paying diddly squat for it.

Na, not for what it is ... it's cheap really, that's one of the reasons I'll get two.

That's OK - I played a bear before, didn't sound much chop really - but I'll be plugging this into X1, so it's got to sound great ... right ?
And besides, who needs a modwheel when you've got a bear ?.

Exactly, just another rason to get two ... one for each hand, then I can play duets all by myself :-)
joking aside, keyboards have gone up in price.. but thats silly money.. sure if your VIP / featured artist, your paying diddly squat for it.

Ahh, there's nothing wrong with silly money ... if it get's you what you want.

And it IS silly ... if you have enough of it, you CAN buy whatever you want.

Like I said though, it will be a wee while off, I have other priorities like buying a new house first.
And that makes the silly money for a keyboard look like nothing :-).

Once I find the right place, I'll have some room to put all my "stuff" (as my wife calls it).

My wife Carol, bless her, keeps repeating to me ... "You have Too Much Stuff, there's no room for anything else here".

And when I lose something ... I get told ... "Don't ask me, you should know ... it's in there somewhere with all your other Stuff"

I love my stuff (and my wife), don't you love your's ?.

    Cheers - Cliff
