Home Studio 7 Freezing on start up

Hello All,

I've had Sonar Home Studio v7 and everytime I install it on my ASUS laptop using Windows 7, the software opens up just fine, but any time after the first time opening it up, the software freezes my whole system when trying to open it from the shortcut on the desktop.  Once this happens, I have to restart my whole system to get back on my PC and everytime I try opening sonar it does the exact same thing.  I've looked at the system recommendations and I have the neccessary RAM and processor requirements I believe.  Any thoughts?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much!

most of the time this would be due to plugins or your soundcard driver.

what soundcard are you using and which driver mode are you using?

Are you operating in 64 bit OS or 32 bit one? Does the OS match the version of SONAR?

That does remind me of having SONAR 4 and Pinnacle 9 video editor in the same PC. SONAR refused to start, actually, it was as if it had not been installed at all. The support said there's an unsolvable conflict between SONAR and Pinnacle.
Since then I've had a double boot PC.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
