Suddenly tonight wont open
Hi, One of my projects suddenky tonight wont open, at the front page where the track names appear when I hit this one it goes white, then obviously I have to shut it down and my audio diver disappears I then reload the V-Studio 20 driver but it happens again, anyone any ideas ? This is the last track of a 4 track EP, and needs to ready for mastering next week !!!!!! Now panicing a little. It's now happening with every track WTF !!!!!!!! Thanks John

Can you open the project in safe mode?

One project opened in safe mode, then I tried to open it normally
and it crashed again, also in the toolbar, at the blue area, where you have
the time, bpm etc. It normally says, opening project, these ones that are
now suddenly not opening are saying, reset button, any help ?

The project did open in safe mode - that's at least something. Not sure where the corruption is for you. So until someone else pipes in here, worse case scenario is that you have the raw tracks to rebuild and re save a new mix. Still sucks I know.
More than likely you have a corrupt vst... And from my experience, it can be a trustworthy one that you never had trouble with prior... But if you can load the plugs back in one by one, you may be able to find it and not have to rebuild the whole mix.

If this is happening on every project - even the blank new ones -> Then that would be a step I would take.
If the problem is only on a few projects and most of the others still open and work well, then I would think it is project/vst related. Not X1 or equipment.
Is this an every project problem?

I have found that once in a blue moon, X1 will corrupt a file when closing and/or forget the the audio interface. It happens every few months and for me it has nothing to do with plug-ins or anything else I can identify. I've found that using versions helps a lot. I have my rig saving 15 version of a project and when I want to do anything radical I use the save as command to create a new stream of versions. It really helps. I don't use auto save because it has caused me grief in the past.
