Sound Cloud Problem...

Can you all listen to this and see if you hear the mud and garble in the bass I'm hearing?

http://soundcloud.com/donny-collins/reaching-for-the-wheel-1  I exported this from Sonar as a "What you hear" wave 44K, 24 bit triangle dither.  I open in Sound Forge for trimming off the ends and final limiting if needed, then save as 192 mp3.  Any suggestions as what's up?  Lots of my songs are like this.  MP3 sounds fine locally...once it's on the cloud it's crap...other artists sound soo good.

Thanks!

Donny

Update:  This link is of the wave exported from Sonar then uploaded to Soundcloud.  Problem still there...sounds like mic wind noise in the background...really weird.

I exported this from Sonar as a "What you hear" wave 44K, 24 bit triangle dither.

Not that it could be part of your problem but you should only dither when changing bit rate depth** on export. IOW if you record in 24bit no need to dither on a 24bit export. Sample size changing has no bearing on whether to dither or not, only bit rate.

** Thanks for catching my typo Shad.

Dead link. And Ed, its bit depth, not bit rate. Very different things.

That may be part of the issue...I'll try that and report back, and fix the link. Thanks guys!

No dither on this one, uploaded 48 K wave and let soundcloud format it to MP3.  Sounds like poop and really frustrating.  Local file sounds nothing like this.

Same tune with slightly different mix over at soundclick:

Hey thanks for the listen man...

Check it at 38 seconds on the first chorus...it's almost like wind noise on a mic...not sure what's up with that...

Thanks you all for listening...I'm still not sure...I'm still hearing it off different computers and headphones. I don't hear it at all at soundclick, but I do hear something similar on a friend's tunes on soundcloud. Thanks again!

Not to worry.  This sounds terrific on my monitors, and I love the song.  Your changes and chord progression kept this interesting from beginning to end.  Well done.
