Virus Ti2 Polar Missing USB Audio [solved]

I have recently acquired a Ti2 Polar and today installed Virus Control... and so ran up Sonar to see how well the integration fares... but cannot select the Virus as an Audio device in Sonar X1 Producer, it is visible, but greyed out.
As an audio device the Virus works in windows and can be tested, runs as the output device for Maschine, and runs in a vst host "miniHost" running the virus control software... all the "nice the have" places.. but the "must have" place is giving me the gyp (figures huh?)

any ideas?..

Sigh, add this to the list of things i really already kinda knew...

So..we all know you can only use ASIO for one device at a time, BUT I foolishly assumed that related to the use of the device, as opposed to the selection of the device... So to clarify, Sonar will only allow you to select one ASIO device at a time, and if you wish to select another ASIO device you must first unselect the current one..

yes, i know obvious and a true facepalm moment......

I think you have to select it as a MIDI device. so you'll need to define the MIDI inputs and outputs. Its a Synth and canbe used as a MIDI controller also.

Its not an audio interface, so you'll never be able to select it as an audio device, as you call it.

thanks but actually Clay, its no different that using say a Fantom G synth as the Audio interface for a Sonar project, it (the Virus) does indeed have a full USB audio interface and can be set (not that i would want this) to be the default sound card for windows..
Being "greyed out" in the preferences pane in my understanding means that Sonar recognises the ports, but they are not currently connected.. ?.. but i know it is...
