Old files play, New files don't

I recently built a new machine with a new install of windows and some updated hardware. I didn't change my sound card, which is an RME Hammerfall DSP 9652. My old files open and play just fine, but new files give me an error message:

"Unable to open audio playback device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use. For help, please visit..."

I have the drivers set to ASIO, in case anyone's wondering, and like I said, old sessions that were created on my previous machine work perfectly. It just doesn't like the new stuff.

My motherboard's built-in audio is set as the default playback device.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Set the Hammerfall as the default audio device.

Figured it out. Hammerfall's word clock wasn't set to internal. That was dumb. Thanks anyway, Beepster.
