UAD 1 upgrade to UAD 2 in Sonar

UAD 1 upgrade to UAD 2 in Sonar

Hey 

I'm still using an old UAD 1 card. About to upgrade to the UAD 2. I know the new card uses different software.

My question is. In my Sonar project files will instances of plugins from the old UAD system open fine when I remove it and install the new card? 

Basically will everything function as it has been, or every time I open a project that has one of those plugins am I going to be notified that Sonar can't find the plugin?

Anyone have any experience?

    Hi Charlie, 
    It should work fine. Both the UAD1 and the UAD2 use the same vst dll's, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've done the same upgrade and it worked without a hitch.

    Yep, did the same thing when they first announced the latest trade-in deal and everything worked fine. The only problem I'm having now is the temptation to buy more plugins.

    Same here just did that trade in myself and the old projects opened up just like before.
