munchies / burritos

http://now.msn.com/living/0617-burritos-for-potheads.aspx

In the mid 80’s when I was a sophomore in college I lived with three other guys in a “Townhouse” on campus.  The school offered them as if they were premium housing for the upperclassmen but they were nothing more than converted temporary housing / fire boxes.  The house had a small kitchen with a stove and refrigerator and 4 individual bedrooms.

One of the guys in the house was a complete stoner.

I came back after a weekend away (probably on a Sunday) and walked into a most foul smell.  Not quite sure exactly what happened but our stoner buddy, not surprisingly and as far as we could tell, had the munchies and attempted to bake frozen shell fish.  Apparently, he either passed out or fell asleep and incinerated the shell fish in the oven and damaged the wall … the dude could have burned the house down and killed himself.

So, I’m thinking that these burritos are actually a good idea.  Most likely they are microwavable reducing the fire risk and the fact that the food choice is made for the end consumer food safety becomes less of an issue (i.e., shell fish preparation while stoned).

Aside from the burrito induced flaming flatulence warning (although, I think the warning only applies when you are near an open flame) … I knew somebody may find the burrito / munchies concept a good one.  I am glad you found it groovy.
