Sonar X1 Producer Crashing while editing in Piano Roll
Is anyone else having issues with Sonar X1 (D Build 535 x64) crashing on a regular basis? I'm experiencing crashes while I'm working on edits in my piano roll. I can't figure it out if it's the autosave that's causing it? Or any other resources. Still testing. But, it's becoming annoying. Working on a CD project. I may just have to finish the project in Reason 6.5.

IIRC someone else was having this issue a few weeks ago. Not sure if it was resolved. Sorry I can't link to the thread. Maybe try and do a search with the terms "PRV" and "crash" or "dropout" within the X1 sub forum. Hope you find a solution.

Come to think of it wasn't it you g_randy having this issue? Was it that FilmScore pack thing?

I haven't had any crashes from EWQLSO Play, but the full Rapture seems a bit flaky at times,at least since the FilmScore addition

BEX64 errors seem to relate to printer drivers. You got a printer attached?

Another thing that keeps on cropping up is video rendering - are you doing any of that?

Randy, a quick Google search on BEX64 errors returns a whole slew of answers. Some of them might at least point you in the right direction.

Bristol_Jonesey Randy, a quick Google search on BEX64 errors returns a whole slew of answers. Some of them might at least point you in the right direction. I searched a few weeks back and found a plethora of ways Bex 64 can cause havoc but got lost in all the seemingly irrelevant stuff...that said, I'll have another look. Thanks very much, Randy EDIT: BTW Scott, sorry if I hi-jacked the thread but it seems you lost interest or resolved your issue? If so please enlighten us.

Greetings fellow music makers, @Curtsong: Have you got any more info on your crash ?. A desctiption of "Crash" is a bit vague, what's the actual behavior, and any associated message detail ?. eg: Does it just white-screen and you have to hard reset the PC ?. (that would be nasty). There should be some details about the error, the most key items to give some clue where to look being; Problem Event Name: Application Name: Fault Module Name: @g_randybrown: As someone mentioned above, a "Problem Event Name: BEX64" I believe is a "Buffer Overflow". I take it that in your case with EW Play niggles, that it says the "Application Name:" is Play. The key thing to look at is, what's the "Fault Module Name:" The faulting module isn't necessarily part of "Play", it can be something external that is called by the Play application. So you ned to know what the "Faulting Module" is, then figure out what it belongs to. Once you know that, you can start firing support tickets in the right direction. I still haven't updated to the latest Play - I think I'm "one behind", but I was thingking about grabbing the "Solo Violin" download which will force me to update. Cheers - Cliff

Thanks very much for your reply Cliff! @g_randybrown: As someone mentioned above, a "Problem Event Name: BEX64" I believe is a "Buffer Overflow". What the heck is a buffer overflow? I take it that in your case with EW Play niggles, that it says the "Application Name:" is Play. The key thing to look at is, what's the "Fault Module Name:" This is the Windows message I keep getting: The faulting module isn't necessarily part of "Play", it can be something external that is called by the Play application. So you ned to know what the "Faulting Module" is, then figure out what it belongs to. How the heck do I do that? Once you know that, you can start firing support tickets in the right direction. I called support today and they were stumped and advised me to contact East/West. What's weird is all of the times this has happened, it has never started the CW error report thing...in fact I've never seen it before I saw it today when I got this error... I sent the report...thanks again Cliff!
