MC6 and Korg nanoKontrol2

Anyone using nanoKontrol2 with MC6? It looks great sitting next to my laptop, but that's about it. I can't get MC to recognize the control surface. Installed correctly with latest drivers from Korg. It shows up in the MIDI Devices menu, but the controls don't actually work (pan, slider, shuttle). My other midi device (M-Audio Uno 1x1 interface) is working perfectly. Any and all help is appreciated---I'm an old fashioned guy, and really prefer hands-on controls to the mouse.

Many thanks!

Since I don't use a control surface, I have no idea.

I think I have heard that MC is not like the bigger DAWs like Sonar X1 which would very likely have the ability to use a control surface incorporated into it's coding.  You can always ask support if what you have is compatible with MC6.

I too used to be a "hands on the mixer board" sort of guy but when I got into Music Creator 4 a few years back.... after a few days of working with the mouse and totally inside the box...... it became quite easy and now, I don't even give it a second thought.... it's now the normal way to do things.

MC6 does indeed support a number of control surfaces; you can find a list under Edit--Preferences--MIDI--Control surfaces when you hit the add button there. Once one is chosen, you can edit its parameters by clicking on the device name under Utilities. I was able to get nanoKontrol2 working this way, adding and editing Cakewalk Generic Surface. Works like a charm now.

Guitarhacker, I appreciate your comments but I'm too old a dog to learn too many new tricks. Need that tactile element I just don't get from the mouse.

MC6 should be able to handle the nano control, but I'm not a control surface expert to be able to help much.

try reading thru some of these entries.  Mc6 will behave most similarly to X1, but the pricipals will be the same for just about any version.

I can't seem to copy & paste from my android.  go to google.com and type in this search:
