So my track inspector has decided it no longer wants to scroll.

When I want to look at stuff in the track inspector scroll no longer works and I am not even getting a scroll bar. If I want to view all the modules and gadgets I have to undock it, move it to the bottom of the screen and expand the window. Very annoying. Anyone else getting this?

Are you sure you''re clicking in it first? It won't scroll unless it has focus.

Yup. I clicked all over in Track View the Console and the Inspector itself to make absolutely sure I was where I needed to be. Nada. However I added a new track and for some reason that one would scroll. I'll have to take another look tomorrow... so sleepy and hungry. Hope things are being awesome in your world FBB. Cheers.

Unfortunately, the only Inspector view that scrolls is the ProChannel stack. And that only if there are too many modules to display at once. And yes, you have to click on a PC module first.

It would be nice if all the Inspector views scrolled. Looking at half a console strip isn't much useful.

Well that is unfortunate. This was the Inspector for the MIDI track associated with Session Drummer and then I tried the bus I had created to route all that to. I tried all the tabs at the top of the inspector (Track, PC and whatever that other one is) and nothin'. I could not get at any of the stuff at the top of the inspector without undocking, moving it further down on the screen and dragging out the top of the pane. Oh well... I guess it is what it is. :-/

I find a great way to use the inspector is to imagine it as a right click context menu on steroids. Called up not by a right click but by pressing I and in a position that you want it.

I found once I moved away from the "Strip in place" thinking it really opens the usefullness of it up. YMMV of course.

I'm fine Beepster thanks for asking. Working on an exciting project that I hope will see the light of day one day, hence I'm not quite as active on here as I usually am. How's things with you, getting to grips with X1 now?

@FBB... I was wondering where ya'd been. Thanks for the info. I guess it'll end up being another workflow thing I have to get used to. Does seem silly it will scroll for some and not for others. Surely this isn't intentional. Anyway, yes I am SLOOOWLY getting a hang of things. Just taking my time on the basics and making sure I'm actually LEARNING the software instead of just aping the vids or the manuals. I've managed to get a realistic drumtrack going with SD3 using Seth's track layer method in the Drum Production Master Class. Very cool. And last night I plugged in my bass and recorded a bass line. I already tried recording guitar a few weeks ago so now I can at the very least record a basic rock/blues/whatever album which is about 90% of what I'm looking to do anyway. The biggest hurdle was the MIDI drum stuff as I've never worked with MIDI before. I'm pretty happy right now. Cheers!!
