Theme From Your Face (MRI)

kinda A Perfect Circle meets Smashing Pumpkins meets Alice In Chains.
i'm using a glass bottle as a 'slide' played on a Fender Jaguar w/ heavy delay for the slide guitar texturing. song is in 6/4 subdivided 12/8.

-------------------------------------------

I used to live in the meadow
Making my trips to the ghetto
Getting my drinks from the fountain
Getting my stuff from the mountain
Wearing the clothes of a beggar
Wearing my shoes out of leather
Walking too close to the distance
Hearing the theme from your face

Now I remember everything
Oh I can see you now
Now I remember everything
Oh I can feel you now

I used to live in a hellhole
Pain was just part of the threshold
Morning was part of the sickness
Waking up part of the business
Hide behind all of the bushes
When I knew you would come looking
Walking too close to my distance
Screaming the theme from your face

Now I remember everything
Oh I can see you now
Now I remember everything
Oh I can feel you now

You guys are very talented and creative.  As I've said in other comments, you have your own style, while similar to a few other bands, is still your own unique interpretation.  You write interesting lyrics which may actually be your real strength.  Therefor, I would highlight those lyrics by making my vocals as clear as possible.  When you reach the point where you don't have to post the lyrics to be understood, you're there.

    All the best,

    +1

And for the first time, the heavy compression works here, though the drums get swallowed up a lot of the time.

appreciate your noticing of lyrics. i agree about the drums getting a little lost in parts; my fault really as i bounced them down first to stereo to save RAM - the compression in the video oddly makes them a bit more pronounced.

Hi Daren, although I have no idea what to expect from "A Perfect Circle meets Smashing Pumpkins meets Alice In Chains", I like it, a bit loud for my taste but probably appropriate for the style. Reminded me of  "Meddle"-era Pink Floyd, speeded up.
