During Loop Construction: I've got a timing problem. Can't decipher how to move the audi

Hi.. erm..

How do I slide the audio around during loop construction, so that I can create a groove that is in time?  Or.. How do I slide the time around..

One of them slides, right?  Either the audio, or the time..  I can't figure it out..

Any help, greatly appreciated.  Thank you

The time wont effect audio. it only effect the Midi data. so you would need to move the audio, not the time/tempo, if im
reading your post correct, most times i dont :(

True..  Makes perfect sense.  but isn't there a way to slice the audio, in the loop constructor, and slide the audio into time?  Or do I have to slice on the audio track?

    thanks

To be honest, Ive always sliced and cut them in the track view and then enabled them as a groove clip. Then I changed some things in the clip properties, like the # of beats and stuff. I found it easier for me that way.

If I'm following you correctly, Audio Snap. Look it up in the help file, there is also a tutorial included with the Sonar package and numerous videos on you tube and possibly on cakewalk.com. If you still can't follow just ask and I'm sure there will be lots of advice. Check out Views> Audio Snap Palette to find the gateway.

The Sonar X1 Advance Workshop video by G. Anderton has a few chapters on groove clips that I'm sure would be of use to you.

    Ok guys..  Thanks a lot.

Here's another question for you.  My tracks are really quiet.  I make really quiet mixes.  I just designed my first template file, "studio a."  Its nothing big, just some buses for parallel compression on my drums..  have my browser all the way over to the left of the pro-channel-inspector.

I created a bus called, "loop construction."  Right now, the loop constructor seems to default to the master.  I want it to default to, "bus loop construction."  I want that to be part of my project templates...  How do I do that?

    Cheers
