Waves not importing

I sent out for some re-amps and got back. 24 bit 44.1 stereo mix of them so I can check them out, make sure I like them. I import them into Sonar and it goes through all the motions, but I get nothing but a dotted line on the track and nothing else. No wave files, no sound.. Just this dotted line............. Before I import I can even preview the file and it plays fine? I imported the same mix into Adobe and it shows up & plays fine? Anybody know whats going on here?

    ...so it helps others who may have the same problem in the future and can read what you did to solve it. So the solution was...?

    It imported waaaaaaaaay down the track, You have to slide all the way to the end, there it was!

    The wave may have had embedded time info - it was likely saved as a "broadcast wave". There is an Option>Global> Audio tab setting for importing broadcast waves that can be enabled/disabled for what it's worth. Best to leave unchecked unless you do that type of work.

    I almost didn't read the question because I new the answer. And for those interested, If you see dotted lines on any track, they are there to let you know that there's something in the track. Even MIDI tracks.

    Hmmmm..

    The second topic created on this in just a few days.  I have seen my film students experience this a lot since importing audio into film projects requires a blend of spotting and non-spotting of audio in timelines that can be over 3 hours in linear time.  

    I wonder if a transactional dialog box would be useful during import asking about the spotting of the import.  Of course the box would have 'check here to not be asked this everytime'.

    Just a thought
