I don't know about Western songs, but you may be creating a new genre with this song.  I think this would make a great soundtrack for a Western, especially to build tension before a big battle.  I'm just curious, do you think Youtube offers better sound quality than Soundcloud or Soundclick?  Anyway, the production sounds fine either way.  Well done.

    All the best,

What did you use to create this piece?

As an atmospheric piece with some film it would probably work quite well.

We all hear things differently, personally I found the mix a little overly stereo with everything spread across the sound-stage.  Which could just be my furry ears.

    Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure about the Western part but it's definitely dark! Sounds excellent to my ears...very cinematic. Well done.

It build tension nicely. You should get some visuals to go along with it.

I like this a lot. Very cinematic. Reminds me of Tomahawks "Anonymous" record...below is a link to it if you aren't familiar. http://www.youtube.com/wa...LPFqMiE&feature=relmfu Lee

Thanks for listening, everybody. Wookie, I used the Fractal Axe-Fx for the guitar and bass tones and East West Orchestra Platinum for all the samples. Lynn, I think YouTube HD blows any of the other music hosting websites away. Before going YouTube I switched from Soundclick to Soundcloud because you can upload WAV and FLAC files, but even then the uploads lose something from the original file.
