Post X1 upgrade questions

Hi, Finished installing X1, and tried messing around with it.

2 things I noticed off the bat that irked me... and I thought maybe I just don't know where to look:

A. why can't I use the MIDI Drum Map Editor while playing? Pre X1 editions didn't have this limitation and it was useful when working with VSTS (especially drum kits) and trying out all the velocities and samples on the fly.

B. The midi track properties are also gone, and while I found most of the missing properties I'm still missing on how to transpose the track easily.
I could have quickly go +12 or -12 in the old track properties dialog.

Thanks

I've had to use the effects-midi-cakewalk transpose for the transposing

I set up a keybinding to instantly access the Transpose dialog box. Couldn't be easier.

Why can't you use the drum map while playing? What's stopping you?

Have you tried it? It just doesn't work for me.
It's part of the global properties (where you configure the audio drivers etc) and while it's open nothing else is accessable.
It does not have dock/undock option like the other windows.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's part of preferences now which can't be opened during playback. I'm still hoping for a whole drum map revamp in a future upgrade. Perhaps in X1e or X2 or Y1 or whatever it'll be called.

As for "B", you have to be in Track View and have the Inspector View open. On the Right hand strip (Arpeggiator) near the bottom is the Key and Time settings.
