My guess is that there are passive products out there that do a mininimal job by using acoustic foam BUT ... I am surprised, with all of the engineers in this forum that somebody like bit or McQ haven't come up with an app that actively attenuates flatulence amplitude through a noise canceling mechanism by identifying the fundamental frequency and overtones of an individual’s anal vibrations (associated with specific foods) and then (possibly) introducing an interfering frequency via a transducer integrated in the individual user's undergarment.

The more I think about this the more I realize the potential for harnessing flatulence not just for what has made headlines (i.e., methane gas capture)  but for varied uses.  Consider a holistic / therapeutic application where undergarments are engineered with multiple transducers (e.g., speakers and microphones) that can monitor the frequency being generated and then generate a wave that is not simply out of phase resulting in cancelation but tuned to a frequency that produces a beat frequency (often touted by new age charlatans) ... just a thought.

Does the Ozone level rise slightly the day after burrito night? Do ya love the smell of the country? Have ya ever driven by a hog farm? Gaseous anomalys are a part of nature. Scuuzz me.

I can see a small device that can be worn that allows you to dial in the offactory annoyance of your choice...
