Midi between sonar le and Yamaha aw2400???

Hey all, new to the forums and i need some help with midi stuff...First off what I would like to do is sync up my old yamaha aw2400 with either mtc or mmc to to my quad capture soundcard and be able to play sonar when i press play on the yamaha! Simple eh? Well for some reason im having the hardest time getting this thing to play. I'm reading the manual on the 2400 and have everything setup right. Maybe its some setup i need to do on sonar le? I've went to preferences- midi- and fiddled around with the settings there like turn on mtc, ports, all that still cant get it to play? Can anyone help me out, I'm pretty sure its something in sonar i have to setup? Cheers!

    Welcome to the forum.
    i don't know much about it, but depending on which SONAR version you have, you may have ACT, which will allow you to map MIDI control surfaces in SONAR.
    Check the Help file.
