EZDrummer Mono or Stereo?

Just curious about how most people are operating here when using EZDrummer...

When you are setting up EZDrummer in your project and are selecting the tracks to be inserted into Sonar, do you use mono tracks or stereo tracks?

Thanks.

Not in Sonar, but still, EZ Drummer defaults to 8 x Stereo Outputs. I usually prefer to have separate instruments (kick, hat, snare) mono and oh and room stereo. Nevertheless, since it's longer to workaround the default settings and that, in the end, in terms of sound, it doesn't change much, I usually just use Stereo.

Nevertheless, I've recently upgraded to Superior - and my most instantly favorite feature is that it can bounce from within the plug-in, and that the resulting files are just the way I prefer - a combination of mono and stereo. That feature alone was worth the upgrade price for me, especially when working in Pro Tools.

I most always use a mono track for a mono source.  I use stereo when the source has been recorded with two or more mics - overheads, room (near and far).  Sometimes I will use a stereo track on Toms if I plan on processing them the same.  In that case, I am using that stereo track as a mix down of the three tracks coming from EZdrummer.  It's more like a Toms bus in that use.

Mono for kick and snare, stereo for toms and overheads. I use Superior and usually narrow the stereo image for toms and cymbals, as 20-foot-wide drum kits aren't very realistic.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
