Hmmm... I dunno, Colin - that is how it has ALWAYS looked for me, with two different computers and with XP and Win 7-64. So... how long DID you sit in the pub tonight?

SONAR has always used the fonts specified in Windows settings. Except for low-level audio stuff, they've always followed the official Microsoft Way of doing things. They kind of have to, in order to qualify for the Windows logo on the box. So I'm guessing you'll find the answer to the mystery in the Windows settings, or possibly in your video adapter's settings.

I believe that is a display/graphics card issue. It happens to me once in a while too. Sonar and graphics apparently never signed a peace treaty as they often disagree on how things should look on screen. Don't know what can be done to fix it. Steve

Hey Colin, I had this happen to me recently while recording some Sonar X1 screencasts with Camtasia. It seems to be related to Windows Aero. At times, tho not every time, when opening the Camtasia record window it would turn Aero off, and resulted in the X1 font anomaly. So I'm guessing your issue could have the same cause?
