I spotted that Karl, but thanks for the heads up anyway mate. I saw Lydon described thusly, with regard to his appearance tonight: - John Lydon has one of the most finely tuned bullsh1t detectors in British popular culture. The punk icon's searing wit and unavoidable logic has turned many a hack into jelly, tossing out bundles of barbed wire into every conversation
Sounds about right to me No doubt we'll have a four second delay on this for sure!

Just seen an advert for it and good old David Dimbely finished with a "Never mind the Bollinger, here's Question Time" line, obviously got a sense of humour............

Should be very entertaining, especially looking forward to Mr Lydon taking on the hypocrisy of the self serving politicians...

jamesg1213 So, how did he do? The audience appeared to like him, for the bit I watched.

jamesg1213 So, how did he do? A bit disappointing really. I think he'd had a few, and every time he threatened to get angryish, Dimblebore shut him up

Perhaps being close to some of them rubbed off on him. Not sure what I was expecting really but I don't think that was it.

I think you're right there Karl. I can't put my finger on it, but it was almost like he was trying too hard to convey the Johnny Rotten persona, and being quite obviously tanked up didn't help. He missed a trick really, because when he stays calm and sober (like he was in the interviews he did for the recent Punk Britannia series) he talks a lot of sense, and his arguments, whether you agree with his politics or note, are both cogent and interesting. Something tells me he won't be getting invited back though

Alcohol makes you angry and causes you to not think straight and do illogical things. Therefore, I must conclude that all politicians are tanked up 24/7, ya?
