Sonar Re-Registration Problem
I probably should have made a new thread for this from the start... So I bought Sonar X1 Producer a few days ago, made an account and completed my registration in the programme. I was going through the effects when I realised that there was a problem with Guitar Rig 4 LE. There were no presets or anything apart from the default pre and post tapedeck etc. I checked what to do and found out that I needed to reinstall it using the Sonar installation disk so I uninstalled Guitar Rig and custom installed just Guitar Rig, nothing else. Luckily, the presets were all there but there was, and still is another problem. Ever since the re-installation of Guitar Rig a registration screen comes up that came up when I first installed it (The one that tells you to register, then insert your registration code into the box then click complete.) However this time when I type in my registration code, it doesn't work and it says it is invalid. I have tried running it as administrator, so I don't have a clue how to get it to work. Any help will be appreciated!

??? Where did you read that you had to install GR4 separately? When I first installed X1 I installed everything and then just opened GR4 as a standalone, registered it and everything worked fine.

I can't remember exactly, but the way you installed it didn't work for me so I had no other option. EDIT: I just saw your post in the other thread, I think I will have to contact them.

Call that support number I gave you, man. This is just way too weird and you might be making a mess of your registry. Let us know how you end up getting it sorted out. Cheers.

Yeah... he's done that multiple times already (we talked about that in his other thread). No dice. Something is borked somewhere.

I think this is a known problem because I ran into it and I had to go to the NI site (Launch the Service Center from Guitar Rig) and download the Cakewalk (LE or SE) version from them I believe... its been a while. Check the forum some more because I remember finding about this on the forum, but it was quite a while ago.

@daveny5... but after downloading the update from NIs site he should be able to get it running as a standalone. I did. Perhaps something has been fixed or changed since you installed. I think the current GR4 version is 4.2.2 or 4.2.3. I'd have to double check. Cheers.

I could be wrong... I'm downloading the upgrade and will see. EDIT: I stand corrected. Looks like the standalone version works.

The night I installed was such flurry of mayhem I may be mistaken myself but after all was said and done I was able to get it going on its own. Let us know, man. You'll likely have keener insights into all this than I. Cheers.
