X1: Strange MIDI problem

I have a couple of MIDI tracks that played back normally until recently.  Now, when I play them back (VSTs), all of the notes aren't being triggered.  It's a 16th note pattern, so it's pretty easy to hear the missed notes when the track is solo'ed.  The odd thing is, if I freeze the track, then I get all of the notes as expected.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any insight?

Thanks!

Try raising your MIDI Playback buffer size. Used to be located under Options-Global-MIDI. Not sure about X1. 500 should be the default. If its lower start there.

It's now in Prefs-->MIDI-->Playback & Recording. Bizarrely it defaults to 250 even though 500 is recommended.

Thanks, WDI.  The buffer was set to 250, and when I switched it to 500, everything played back as expected.
    Appreciate your help!
