It was 40 years ago today...

Should I start growing moobs now?
How do you lose hair?
Do senior citizens get discounts in the Cakewalk store?
Do I have to start wearing all beige and white?
What's wrong w/ kids these days?

    1. it's up to you..... seems to be the general consensus around here though apparently ... not me...I refuse to grow them.

    2. you don't loose it.... it simply moves from the head to the ears, nose, and back.

    3. nope... and you have to wait 15 more to get the senior citizen discount at Western Sizzlin steakhouse.  I just found out I qualify....the only place so far that honors me in that way for my earthly experience of living that many  years...

    4. nahhhhhh .....I stick to bluejeans, t-shirts and flannel shirts... for all occasions and all weather.  Never too hot for a good flannel shirt..... besides, left untucked, it conceals my firearm nicely.

    5.  probably the same thing that was wrong with us at that age... but I forget what that was so...... yeah... kids today are whacked!

    Happy Birthday, Rain.

    1. You'll look and you'll look and you won't notice anything.  Then one morning, you'll wake up and they've grown 2 or 3 cup sizes.

    2.  We can't make any predictions here.  Hair has a lot to do with genetics.  I've known guys who've lost their hair almost overnight and in their 20's.  I also know guys in their 60's who still have their hair.  My own hair-loss was started in my thirties but was fairly gradual and not too noticeable until my mid-forties.  Look at your dad and your uncle to get an idea.

    3.  You get free admission to the CH.

    4.  You'll just keep wearing what you've been wearing all along, whatever it is will go horribly out of style over night.

    5.  Except for them being on your lawn, the kids are alright.  You'll just be jealous of their youthful naivete.  Remember, it's part of their job to annoy us and part of our job to yell at them.

    Have a great time.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

    Thanks guys.

I'm having a blast here, recording guitars and working on a new song for my wife. Just my kind of birthday party! :P

Of course, there may be a couple of Guinesses involved later on tonight if my wife is off tomorrow.

All the best Rain (ITYRN), Turning 40 is Gods way of putting you on notice. Kind of like the 2 minute warning. It's a gentle and linear slide to 50 so you've got 10 years to get it right. I advise that you start hoarding cash so you can afford the good dog food in those decades to come.

People will tell you that their lives never really started before the age of 40. They are liars. Now is the time to rock and invest in hair products. Why do you think I don't use my own picture as an avatar? Nobody wants to see the crypt keeper, well, except maybe Bub.

Get out there and enjoy that testosterone while you still have it.

    Regards, John

What's wrong w/ kids these days?

    1. You always do ... and the doctor loves to tell you that you have to lose weight! Specially when you are 60 and vigorous exercise is not always a good option!

    2. Easy ... when you are 60, the long hair is a mess and bothersome. So you get one of those trimmers and you keep it down to a quarter of an inch ... so much easier, get up in the morning, run your head over your head ... ohhh ... your hairdo is already done!

    3. Cakewalk doesn't believe in oldsters. If they did, they would have given the Coffee House Band a little mention and love, instead of nothing! They like the kis$ash routine better by mentioning some nobody artist out there! Never mind the real artists here!

    4. Not at the CH! Here you must still show your retro look and psych appreciation, not to mention drug affiliations!

    5. Kids? ... what kids?

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
