Rewire Problems Reason

Just upgraded to Reason 6.5.  Seems like it is cool but when I go to insert Reason into a Cakewalk project it is not showing up in the menu of available Rewire devices to choose from.   All I see it Vsampler.  Am I missing something?  Is there some sort of protocol to go through to force Sonar to update available Rewire devices?

According to the Reason documentation Reason will be installed according to the type of operating system it detects.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I am however running Sonar in 32 bit mode.  I wonder if this matters or not.  I am running Sonar Expanded with the X1D patch.   Thanks for the help.

reason by DEFAULT installs the 64 bit version, you need to use an install switch to get it to install the 32 bit version.. well with v6 anyway..

    not tried installing v6.5 yet

or just use both 64 bit reason / sonar

Yes it does matter.  If you are wanting to continue using 32 bit Sonar you will have to install the 32 bit version of Reason too.  How to do that on 64 bit windows comes with your Reason install documentation.

IOW Rewire will only work 64 to 64 or 32 to 32 bit.

Wow!  Okay I guess I have a decision to make here.  Perhaps it is time to make the leap to Sonar 64.  Is it possible to install both versions on the same computer?
