Sonar - Stubs for ON LINE mixing over the WEB

I have been working on this pretty big project now for quite awhile using SONAR. One of the end goals of the project was to put the STEMS of each track on line and let users mix the tracks to taste... real simple stuff only like:

VOLUME
PAN
EQ
Reverb

and then save their mixes as MP3s.

I have the stems in SONAR and can export each stem as an audio file but does anyone know if there is any WEB tools that could serve as the online mixer with just these custom audio files?

Curious,
Jim

PS - I have searched the web for this code but really can't find any.

You might look into tubeplug which is developed in Austria/Germany I believe.... It's from an electronic music institute where it is used and made availalbe free to the world...

It's a VST that allows many people to share a somewhat live session using a dedicated xtra machine as webserver... I've tinkered with it a bit and I see it works tho I haven't found others with the devoted time to put into learning/using it...

    Here's a link:

Let me know if it's any help or if you get the hang of it.... Supposedly it allows for user-sub-mixes to some extent...

You can use online storage servers like Dropbox. There are others as well.

This is a good idea for everyone to take part and post your results here. The only thing is that people may get upset when you critique someone else's work. Just don't make it a contest and keep to constructive criticixm and it would be a cool thing for proctical examples and feedback. My advice it to keep the stems as dry as possible. Not ever compression.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Indabamusic.com is already set up for this exact thing. They have a web based DAW, and a system of sessions that users can create and put up tracks and mix them right there. Caveat: You've never going to get a mix as nice on Indaba's web based DAW as you are in Sonar, if you know what you're doing in Sonar. I tend to download the stems off Indaba and mix myself.

There are some good ideas here but I don't think I described what I am trying to do...

I am looking for some HTLM code that I can add to my web site that create a multi track mixer within the web site.  The stems would be the tracks from the project and would like to have those folks who want to fool around, remix the tracks from the project to their own tastes.

I have found a couple of commercial sites that allow this but only with audio from their site (all loop based) and it was pretty neat.

I want to add this feature to my web site but just have the tracks from the songs from my project there.

As I said, IndabaMusic pretty much does this exactly, but it's their site, not yours is all. You can put any stems you want into the session, and other users who have joined the session can use Indaba's mixer. **er... well you could... something seems wrong with it, I just checked and suddenly the links to the online mixer are gone. I was just using it a few days ago.

TK... I hear ya about not being the same as using a full featured DAW like SONAR!

Perhaps I will just make the STEMS available and let the folks find their own way to mix them... it was a nice thought though to have this feature right on the sight.

    Thanks,
    Jim
