Session Drummer 2 Problem (stops playing at random in Sonar 6 Producer Edition)

Ok, so I have a problem with Session Drummer 2. I will load it up, load a kit, everything seems to play fine. When I try to make midi notes with it, it will play the sound at first, then it just stops playing randomly. I can go back to the Session Drummer 2 interface and click on the icons and nothing happens. I can load a pattern and it won't even attempt to play. Nothing works till I close and reopen the project without the midi notes. I haven't got a clue why this is doing this. If needed I can record and post some video of this to youtube.

    okay first thing is first,
    your specs,your soundcard.

    then,
was it working fine at one time and  now this has just started happening or....i installed something and then....

did something trigger this, how long has it been happening?
most solutions are usualy pretty easy to track down.

I just got Sonar 6. Brand new installation. After installing I installed the newest patches up to 6.2.1. I had not tried it before I installed patches, so I don't know if it worked before patches.

The midi sequencer (I guess that's what it's called) is the only thing I did that triggered the problem. I seems to work perfectly until I add notes, then it just stop playing the notes when I add them, and if I try to play the track then it will play about 2 notes then stop playing sounds. If I go to the Session Drummer interface and try to click on the icons to hear the sound then nothing will play.

Another problem occurred the other day, I couldn't record through my line in jacks correctly. It would seem to record, but when I stopped the recording, it deleted the recorded track. This may not be related to Session Drummer because I screwed with some options trying to fix it.

Also, I accidentally un-installed Sonar and haven't re-installed it yet. So I don't know if that will fix the problem or not. The reason I un-installed it was because my dad was telling me that he had some problems with the 6.2.1 patch. So I tried to un-install that particular patch, but wound up un-installing the entire program. BTW, the un-installer shouldn't say that it's going to un-install a patch if it just un-installs the entire program.

    Hope all that makes sense!

I don't think your hardware is the cause of your problem but you really should get your self a dedicated sound card as your on board sound really isn't a good solution for recording.

Where is session drummer getting it's mid from? When you loaded session drummer did you check the box that says "midi source" and is this where you have you drum track?

Does the green button on the transport bar "Audio Engine" stay green or is it switched off when you're clicking on the icons?

Do you have any other midi or audio tracks loaded and if so do they play or is it just session drummer that stops playing.

I guess you need to reinstall it now anyway so until you've done that there's not much we can do. You might get lucky and find the problem has gone once you've reinstalled.
