Sonar X1 Web Trial won't install.

A friend is trying to install the X1 trial on his computer. It asks what language he wants to use (English) and then you click next, and nothing else happens. It installed perfectly on my machine. Does the computer have to be connected to the internet for it to work? Any other ideas? It would be nice if it gave some sort of error message, but it doesn't.

    I believe you do have to be connected to th internet. 

    Intel core i7 2600 3.4 GHz 64 Bit 
    16 GB  of Memory, Sonar Platinum ,OS  Windows 10 Professional, Sound Card: Komplete Audio 6, Controller: M-Audio Keystation Pro 88
